Repertoire

Each spring, New Bedford Ballet produces a story ballet featuring students from the school and guest artists from nationally acclaimed, professional dance companies.

Participating in these productions is a valuable learning experience for all the dancers - not only do they have an opportunity to demonstrate their art in a full-scale ballet, but they have the privilege of dancing with professionals from some of the country's finest dance companies.

Students in Pre-Ballet I and up are encouraged to sign up in November for the June production. To ensure success and in fairness to all the dancers, they must attend every rehearsal. Rehearsals are usually held on weekends, not during class time, and schedules are posted well in advance. Students are assessed a rental or purchase fee to help underwrite the cost of costume design and construction.

Discovery I & II students have a small, in-class performance the last week of the spring term.
