Join us for New Bedford Ballet’s eclectic summer dance performance, Timeless Waves of Movement, on Friday, August 2 at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 3 at 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. at the NBB Community Theatre, 2343 Purchase St. New Bedford.  Our studio’s instructors and advanced students will showcase their original choreography in this family-oriented, innovative and endearing mix of dance styles.

An Excerpt from The Little Mermaid is a children's ballet that is perfect for the entire family.  New Bedford Ballet artistic director, Rebecca Waskiel-Marchesseault, and New Bedford Ballet instructors Eugenia Zinovieva, and Cindy Rascinski bring this classic fairytale to life as the entire family enjoys a visit under the sea!

The program also features both classical and modern dance pieces choreographed by New Bedford Ballet's advanced students and teachers.  The first, “Two Cellos,” is fast paced and dynamic with original choreography by Erin Petitjean Allen. The second, “The Winds Across the Plains,” explores movement and the rise of formations in space, is choreographed by Eugenia Zinovieva, The final pieces, “Zephyr Boreas,” is a collection of modern and contemporary dances choreographed by the New Bedford Ballet students under the direction of Eugenia Zinovieva and Alex Lantz. Come explore the ever-changing patterns of wind that inspire us all to dance.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for seniors, students and children.  All proceeds from this performance support the New Bedford Ballet, a not-for-profit organization.  For thirty-four years New Bedford Ballet has continued its mission of providing classical ballet training for children and adults, granting scholarships, and educating the community in the value of the performing arts.  Parents interested in enrolling potential students for the 2019-20 season should consider attending the summer performance with their child.  Registration packets will be available.  For more information, contact the New Bedford Ballet at 508-993-1387
